**Position Overview
TLS is currently seeking a Database Administrator_ _for a full-time position to join our growing team This
position will require flexible hours and is based out of our head office in Markham. The Database
Administrator will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and performance of all company databases.
The Administrator will be experienced in all aspects of MS SQL database creation and design, optimization,
ETL jobs, backup and security. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Critical Infrastructure and Cybersecurity,
the Database Administrator will focus on developing and maintaining our ERP, WMS and BI systems and
their underlying databases. The Administrator will maintain additional custom databases used for
reporting and in support of our distribution business and to provide transaction visibility to our staff,
clients and other business partners.

**Responsibilities **

Responsibility for maintaining the integrity and performance of all company databases.

Play a lead role in the integration and testing of systems, as the company is in the process of
replacing a legacy ERP system with the Sage X3 ERP.

Work with staff to maintain and develop database structures to support BI reporting needs.

Respond to and resolve database performance issues.

Design, implement and manage backup processes for all databases.

Working with software vendors (ERP, WMS and BI) to troubleshoot issues and resolve problems.

Design and maintain automated processes to support the extraction and loading of data

Provide support for information reporting activities, to ensure high quality service to our clients
and mínimal interruptions.

Play an active role in the disaster recovery team and ensure readiness in the event of system
outages for our SQL database systems.

**Qualifications **

University degree in the field of computer science or equivalent work experience.

Experience and expertise in the following systems is desired:

- Sage X3 ERP
- Sage Enterprise Intelligence
- Solochain WMS
- Tableau

Highly skilled in designing, building and configuring SQL Server databases and related ETL jobs.

Advanced Microsoft SQL, Excel and Access skills.

Ability to be flexible with work hours
