Toronto, Canada Turner & Porter Funeral Directors Ltd. Full time

The primary role of the Funeral Director Assistant is to support and provide assistance to Service Directors, and other staff, while providing the highest quality of service to the families of Turner & Porter Funeral Directors Limited.

Funeral Assisting:

- Assist in the transfer of the deceased in an efficient, coordinated and

dignified manner as outlined in Turner & Porter Funeral Directors

Limited policies.
- Assisting in the set ups, visitation rooms, chapels and churches, as well

as the components of the presentation for the visitation and service, as

per the arrangement file.
- Assist Service Directors and Turner & Porter Staff to ensure the family

is provided with exceptional service.
- Assisting in parking lot during funeral services, monitor and manage

flow.
- Execute flower runs as assigned by the Service Director to churches

and/or cemeteries.
- Assist in the maintenance of the washing and fueling of vehicles as

required.
- Assisting in other duties that may be required to ensure Turner &
Porter’s standard of excellence is achieved.

General Duties:

- Ensure the entire property, both interior and exterior, are in immaculate

condition prior to the arrival of client families and their guests.
- Remain current with daily activities, changing family and operational

needs, and review files at the beginning of each shift.
- Complete all required tasks at the end of each shift including vacuuming,

garbage removal, general building cleanliness and cleaning of

washrooms.
- Attend company meetings as required.
- Participate in community events/activities.
- Ensure a professional appearance as required by Turner & Porter

Funeral Directors Limited’s grooming policy
- Maintaining compliance with all Turner & Porter Funeral Directors

Policies and Procedures, as well as legislative requirements as outlines

by the Bereavement Authority of Ontario.
- Complete all duties as assigned by the Service Director or other staff.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
