**Job Overview**
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals with disabilities, helping them lead fulfilling lives. Your responsibilities will include personal care, meal preparation, and companionship, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for those you serve.

**Duties**
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Support clients in engaging in recreational activities and social interactions.
- Monitor clients' physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
- Document care provided and maintain accurate records as required.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in caregiving or direct support roles is preferred, particularly in areas such as senior care, dementia care, assisted living, hospice care, or home care.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.
- Knowledge of patient care practices in settings such as nursing homes or similar facilities is a plus.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed.

Pay: From $20.34 per hour

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Licence (required)

Work Location: In person
