Responsible for constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing components for trade show exhibits by following drawings and blueprints. Making fabrication recommendations as needed in the pre-design phase to help facilitate accuracy between detail drawings and actual finished products.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Determine material requirements.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to build finished products.
- Interact with pre-production to provide recommendations and feedback on construction methods.
- Plan the most efficient means to produce a product and execute that plan.
- Design and construct appropriate crating as necessary.
- Ability to learn CNC operation and CAD design.
**MAINTAIN INVENTORY**:
- Maintain equipment, blades, bits, and keep in good working order.
- Report any maintenance issues with equipment and lockout when necessary.
- Continually maintain inventory, anticipate workload and inventory and order ahead for projects.
CONSTRUCT AND REPAIR EXHIBITS:
- Follow standards and procedures and make adjustments as necessary.
- Fabricate components in accordance with timeline availability.
- Laminate and finish according to specifications.
- Using tools for measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembly.
- Install and dismantle exhibits.
OPERATION OD CARPENTRY EQUIPMENT:
- Completing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing equipment malfunctions when safe to do.
- Evaluating new equipment and techniques and making recommendations to management.
- Safe operation of CAD and CNC table.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Valid passport to travel within Canada and the United States.
- Class G license with clean driving record.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Ability to operate under significant timelines and constraints.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
