Our Support & Inclusion Activity Leaders are responsible for ensuring children with diverse abilities or support needs have an inclusive before and after school care experience.This posting is governed by the Collective Agreement between the YMCA Child Care Centers and BCGEU Local 303.

**Your qualifications**
- Must be at least 19 years of age
- Experience working with children 5 - 12 with additional support needs
- Experience as a Behavioral Internationalist or Support Worker and Asset
- Emergency First Aid and CRC - C & AED
- 20 hours of training in Child Development, Child
- Guidance and/or Nutrition an asset**Your responsibilities**:

- Work effectively within a staff team to provide an inclusive environment of support, strategies, and resources for children with diverse needs to fully participate within the program.
- Provide individual support to children within the program setting
- Help to build and contribute to a community environment of global supports and inclusion for all children through supporting their strengths and stretches.
- Help children navigate conflict and role model positive behaviours.
- Contribute to the development, integration, and maintenance of care plans within the program

- **FREE Gym Membership **paid vacation days and sick leave**Location**:Alderson YMCA Kids Club (825 Gauthier Ave, Coquitlam)**Terms**:Permanent, Part-time 27.5 hours a week**Shift**:Monday - Friday 7:00am - 9:00am & 2:30pm - 6:00pm- ** This is a split shift - Must be available to work in the mornings & afternoons**
