Prep Cook

**Job description**:
We are looking for energetic Prep cooks to assist in the preparation of dishes in the kitchen. You’ll perform routine kitchen tasks such as setting up workstations and ingredients. Must be able to function in a fast-paced, busy environment as a part of a team.

**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
- Seasoning and preparing the necessary ingredients for cooking
- Labeling and stocking all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
- Prepare simple dishes such as salads, sandwiches.
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned

**Additional skills and requirements**:

- Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
- Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
- A team player with good communication skills
- Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
- Very good physical condition and endurance

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship
Part-time hours: 16-40 per week

**Salary**: $15.00-$16.00 per hour

- Cooking: 1 year (preferred)
