We are looking for an energetic and knowledgeable Basketball Coach to join our growing team As a coach, you will assist with training children and youth, talking with parents, and working with other coaches. Lastly, making sure the program is run smoothly and everyone is enjoying themselves. You will be reporting directly to your designated Program Coordinator.

**Duties and Responsibilities include**:

- Self-starter and hard-working individual with a positive altitude attitude
- Lead, supervise, and promote the safe play for all participants
- Prepare lessons, and lesson plans according to the required curriculum
- Plan, develop, and implement all training practices
- Continuously assess, develop, and critique the curriculum
- Lead participants through various workouts and games
- Identify each athlete individual learning needs and adjust
- Evaluate students’ progress and discuss results with students, parents, and the onsite coordinator
- Actively analyze athlete performance and modify existing learning plans to maximize development
- Participate in staff meetings and trainings as required
- Monitor the program, sports facility, and materials to ensure safety and provide first aid assistance when required
- Enforce safety rules and regulations

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Experience working with children aged 6-12 is preferred
- Previous basketball coach experience preferred (at least 1 Year)
- Background knowledge and experience playing Basketball is a **MUST**:

- Current Vulnerable Sector Check
- Standard First aid and CPR C
- Motivated self-starter with **STRONG** communication skills

**Schedule**:Evening shift

Kings Court Locations: Scarborough and Markham

**Job Types**: Part-time, Seasonal

**Salary**: $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Markham, ON L3R 5H6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- basketball coaching: 1 year (preferred)
