**Job Description**:
**About this job**:

- Coordinate and complete the Parent Company’s periodic U.S. GAAP investment accounting closely liaising with Risk Management, Investment Operations, Portfolio Managers, Treasury, and Legal teams.
- Liaise with external accounting provider and operations team on a regular basis regarding proper recording of investment transactions and cashflows related thereto
- Prepare quarterly financial information, including supporting documentation, for the Parent Company’s Earnings Release, Financial Supplement, SEC filings, and internal reporting to the Audit Committee.
- Coordinate and complete the Ultimate Parent Company’s periodic French GAAP (FRGAAP) reporting.
- Work with the Investment Accounting team on group consolidation, providing financial data to the external reporting team and contributing to the entire U.S. GAAP and FRGAAP processes related to investment accounting.
- Contribute to overseas investment regulatory reporting requirements, specifically the Bermuda Monetary Authority, Monetary Authority of Singapore and Solvency II
- Perform monthly reconciliations necessary for timely and accurate monthly close
- Assist the accounting for complex private equity investments including analysis and documentation under U.S. GAAP, IFRS and SEC rules.
- Research new U.S. GAAP and IFRS accounting literature related to investments, including assessing the impact on the Company’s periodic consolidated financial statements.
- Provide internal and external audit support including preparation of documentation supporting financial internal controls and processes, including Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) documentation.
- Assist with any requests on any aspect of the group’s investment result from CIO, auditors, regulators and rating agencies.

**About you**:
**Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or related.

**Experience**:

- 6 years of post-certification U.S. GAAP financial accounting experience.

**Other Required Skills/Experiences**:

- 6 years experience with U.S. GAAP and IFRS reporting requirements, including public and private debt and equity investments, foreign exchange, derivatives, and related parties
- 6 years experience with SEC reporting rules and requirements
- 6 years experience with investment accounting including evaluating, analyzing and documenting complex private equity deals
- 6 years experience with investment products, including bonds, equities, foreign exchange, and derivatives
- Knowledge of Solvency II regulatory reporting requirements
- 4 years experience with PeopleSoft and advanced use of Microsoft Office tools including advanced excel
- 4 years experience with internal controls and processes documentation and testing, including SOX requirements
- 4 years Professional accounting designation (CA or CPA)
- Assist with any requests on any aspect of the group’s investment result from CIO, auditors, regulators and rating agencies.
