**Sheet Metal Fabricator and Shop Foreperson**

We are looking for a talented metal fabricator to build metal components for our various jobsites. As a metal fabricator, you will be responsible for running our plasma machine along with our Build Centrix software. To ensure success as a metal fabricator, you should have advanced knowledge of industrial metalwork, a good eye for detail, and excellent mathematical skills. You would also be responsible to lead our team of 3 in our shop.

You would be working alongside 2 other fabricators in our 8000 square foot shop.

**Metal Fabricator Responsibilities**:

- Reading and interpreting drawings.
- Design and draw various sheet metal parts using Build Centrix plasma table software.
- Constructing base templates if necessary.
- Measuring and marking out cutting and bending lines.
- Setting up metalwork machinery including rollers, drill presses, flame cutters, brakes, and shears.
- Double-checking design specifications before commencing with cutting work.
- Fabricating and constructing metal components.
- Insulate various duct as required
- Grinding and finishing completed products.
- Performing quality checks on completed products.
- Coordination with site foremen to ensure products are delivered on time and with accuracy
- Conforming with all company safety regulations.

**Metal Fabricator Requirements**:

- Completed apprenticeship and obtained Journeyperson status as a Sheet Metal Worker
- Previous work experience as a metal fabricator.
- Advanced knowledge of engineering design and manufacturing procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints.
- Proficiency with metal fabrication tools including shears, rollers, flame cutters, and drill presses.
- Advanced mathematical and engineering skills.
- Ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Proficiency in Outlook, Excel and standard computer programs
- AWS certification and advanced welding experience would be a bonus

Pay: $50.16-$53.01 per hour
