**Position Overview**:As an Assembly Operator in the Aerospace Industry, you will play a crucial role in the assembly process of aerospace components, ensuring that they meet strict quality and safety standards. **Key Responsibilities**:
- Perform assembly operations according to established procedures and specifications.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to understand assembly requirements.
- Assemble aerospace components using hand tools, power tools, and precision equipment.
- Inspect parts for defects, ensuring adherence to quality standards and specifications.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting and make adjustments as necessary to ensure proper fit and functionality of components.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to uphold safety and efficiency standards.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in a relevant field preferred.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or assembly, preferably in the aerospace industry.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity for operating hand and power tools.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in assembly tasks.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times.
**Other Requirements**:
- Applicants will be screened for the requirements of Canadian Controlled Goods Program and must pass relevant criminal background checks.
- Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to work primarily in a manufacturing / production environment where employee will be required to stand, walk and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in an environment with exposure to moderate noise levels, dust, varying temperatures, hazardous materials and compliance to safety precautions.
- Compliance with proper use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when working in or travelling through an environment requiring strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Able to work as part of a small team in a fast paced, dynamic work environment.
- Flexibility to working a rotating schedule of days and evenings (shift work).
- Capable of lifting and moving materials up to 25 pounds.
- Good vision (corrected as needed) to discern fine details.
