As one of Canada’s premier education facilities for cinematic arts, hiring strong team members is vital to the success of our school and the growth of the "Hollywood North" film industry. **About the opportunity** As our Fractional - CFO you will oversee all financial processes and is responsible for ensuring timely and relevant monitoring and reporting of our company's overall financial performance. You will help develop a three-year growth strategy, assess risk management, review historical sales, and forecast future sales to ensure that the company scales sustainablyThis comprises overseeing the full accounting process, including the monthly accounting cycle, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and ensuring business policies, accounting standards, and profit objectives are met. **Job Duties** Oversee cash flow and working capital management, using cash flow forecasting to make strategic and timely recommendations regarding cash position - Coordinate and direct budgeting, forecasting, and variance reporting with Senior Leadership team to develop a three-year financial plan. - Accurately evaluate the financial performance of each one of our programs/products - Create long-term goals for the company - Monitor the financial health of projected enrollment vs projected expenses - Prepare financial analysis and reports - Advise on financial process improvement & accounting software integration - Design and implement quarterly reports - Conduct regular meetings to review cash flow forecast, budget, and month-end financials - Prepare and maintain dashboard and financial metrics for reporting - Ensure we can add additional staff in order to facilitate growth - Prepare monthly detailed reports on divisions with analysis - Analyze, advise, and educate leadership/management on achieving profitability - Streamline our organizational chart - Increase efficiency **Education** - Post-Secondary degree, ideally in a relevant field (business, accounting, economics). - Professional accounting designation (CMA, CPA an asset, not a requirement) **Experience** - 5+ years’ experience as a Fractional CFO - 5+ years’ experience as a CPA - 5+ years’ experience in a Controller role * - **Skills**: - Advanced level of financial acumen, including a full understanding of common accounting software and systems (QuickBooks). - Advanced understanding of Canadian financial accounting best practices and law. - Advanced understanding of operations and processes - Ability to manage around tight deadlines and still get the details right. - Comfortable leading meetings at a strategic and tactical level. - Ability to coach and mentor direct reports and make recommendations - Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Freelance Part-time hours: 1 8-hour day per week **Salary**: $65.00- $80.00/hour **Job Type**: Casual **Salary**: $60.00-$80.00 per hour Flexible Language Requirement: - French not required Schedule: - Day shift Ability to commute/relocate: - Vancouver, BC V6B 3J5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) **Experience**: - financial management: 4 years (required) Licence/Certification: - CPA (preferred) Work Location: Hybrid remote in Vancouver, BC V6B 3J5
