Part of the Taggart Group of Companies, Taggart Realty Management focuses on acquiring, developing and managing residential, office and commercial property. Taggart Realty Management has a consistently large number of new projects being developed at one time, each at varying stages of the construction process. The projects are focused in the Ottawa and Kingston marketplaces.

**Work Description**:
The Cleaner is responsible for cleaning all aspects of residential properties as assigned. The Cleaner, in coordination with the Residential Property Manager are responsible for carrying out policies and procedures that support the strategy and goals of home buildings by Taggart Realty Management.

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Keeps the elevators, stairwells and all common areas of the building sanitary, clean and organized.
- Ensures the garbage room is well maintained, clean and tidy, and is responsible for ensuring trash and recycling are stored in proper receptacles, and removes litter from the building and surrounding property.
- May be responsible for snow removal, such as shoveling or salting footpaths.
- Supervises moves, and ensures elevators are placed on service and protectors are on all elevators.
- Performs general cleaning and maintenance duties, such as dusting, vacuuming and washing floors.
- Light maintenance may be required, such as the completion of small service orders.
- Ensures issues are accurately reporting to the Superintendent.
- All other duties as requested by the Superintendent.

**Statement of Qualifications**:
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:

- One to two years’ experience in a cleaning or maintenance role.
- Prioritization and time management skills.
- The ability to be flexible, with a willingness to learn, adapt and adjust to the changing needs of the company.
- The ability to communicate in a professional and clear manner with tenants, suppliers, contractors, and employees.

**Physical/Sensory Effort/Work Environment**:

- Must be of good physical condition to perform various duties in and around all parts of the building.
- Walking and travel upstairs will be required in this role, as well as lifting and general mobility.
