**Nasittuq provides Operation & Maintenance services for the North Warning System (NWS). The NWS is a joint Canada and United States early-warning radar system with 47 sites located in Northern Canada; a Control Centre and Support Centre located in North Bay, ON and a Contract Management Office located in Ottawa, ON.**
**Scope**:
Nasittuq is searching for a Cybersecurity Lead to join our growing team. The Cybersecurity Lead will be responsible for cybersecurity associated with Nasittuq’s Information Management Systems and the North Warning System (NWS) operational systems. The role reports directly to the Information Technology Manager.
**This is a full-time permanent position based in Ottawa, ON, in a hybrid work environment.**
This position promotes cybersecurity awareness of contractual obligations and procedures to all departments while leading the risk based Cyber Mission Assurance Processes for the North Warning System. The role will develop and maintain the threat and vulnerability management program, including review of existing systems and new design requirements with Nasittuq engineering teams.
**Responsibilities**:
- Performing cybersecurity engineering tasks associated with Information Management Systems (IMS).
- Collaborating with internal and external groups to identify and mitigate cybersecurity risks through Threat and Risk Assessments (TRAs).
- Monitoring networks and systems for security breaches, using software that detects intrusions and abnormal system behavior.
- Preparing, documenting, and educating standard operating procedures, policies, and best practices.
- Implementing security controls to protect infrastructure, computer systems and data.
- Responding to any security breaches or intrusions that may occur, as the key resource for cybersecurity incident management.
- Leading risk assessment and opportunity reviews with Nasittuq and Customer teams.
**Qualifications**:
- A Master’s OR Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or Information Security, or a similar discipline such as a cybersecurity-related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in cybersecurity, information technology security, and risk management.
- Hold a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) designation, or have equivalent experience.
- Have experience performing cybersecurity assessments.
- Knowledge of traditional multiplexed networks and server-based infrastructure.
- Military systems experience is considered an asset.
