We are looking for highly motivated and energetic individual to join our amazing team as a Planner/ Buyer

**Your responsibilities**:

- Control inventory levels within assigned commodity group using established policies and procedures
- Work with the system mainframe computer, produce and analyze MRP requirements and execute action plan in accordance (i.e., places purchase orders, cancel, expedite, de-expedite)
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly follow-ups with suppliers regarding open orders
- Acts as liaison between ABB and our supplier base on such varied aspects and departments (i.e., Quality, Engineering, Materials Management)
- Interacts with customer service, inside sales and marketing departments on data gathering, analysis, decision making and execution for all day-to-day operations affected by procurement activities

**Your background**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, B. Comm or equivalent
- Experience in using the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, ideally under the AS400 platform, SAP knowledge is an asset
- Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Have a collaborative, solution-oriented attitude and strong communication and analytical skills
- Be bilingual, both spoken and written (French and English)
- Be comfortable learning new systems
