**Job Summary**

The Education Manager is responsible for:

- hiring, orienting, and training new teachers,
- managing teachers, and conducting teacher observations,
- keeping administration and teachers updated about anything that affects scheduling, duties, policies, etc.,
- finding/scheduling supply teachers and creating a supply pool,
- supplying for teachers (as needed),
- attending to student complaints,
- scheduling classes,
- dealing with student discipline (as needed),
- setting up tutoring for students,
- conducting new student welcome orientation on the official start date,
- conducting graduation ceremonies,
- revising curriculum/textbooks/report cards/placement,
- maintaining an adequate supply of course material, teaching supplies, and track orders,
- addressing building maintenance issues,
- writing official correspondence for the school,
- creating new systems to better organize the school,
- developing and maintaining Pathway partnerships.

**Job Type / Category**

This job is a full-time position from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday. The job requires work in classrooms and in an office environment.

**Required Education, Skills and Qualifications**
- experience in annual inspection with Language Canada.
- a university degree (Preferably Masters in TESL or Applied Linguistics)
- a **TESOL** / CELTA / or equivalent certification
- experience in teaching various levels of students
- experience in administrative work
- management or supervisory experience
- have a positive attitude
- be a team player
- Advanced knowledge with Google Suites, Skype, and Microsoft Suite.
- strong ability to multi-task
- excellent oral and written communication skills
- comfortable dealing with conflict resolution (students, teachers, etc.)

**Company Profile**

St. George International College (SGIC) has been around for 25 years and provides quality language classes to non-native students. SGIC is accredited by Language Canada and offers many levels of ESL instruction and provides specialized programs. The school is located downtown Toronto near the Eaton Centre and between two subway stops.

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Management: 1 year (preferred)
- Education: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- TESOL Certification or equivalent (required)
