**Summary**

The Machine Shop General Labourer will report to the Machine Shop Supervisor and Night Shift Lead Hand to assist with ad hoc requirements and cleaning needs within the shop bay.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist Journeyman on site
- Movement of material and equipment
- Operation of metal bandsaw
- Phosphating of various components
- Stamping critical information on finished components
- Operation of industrial metal bandsaw
- Familiarity with measuring tools and equipment (imperial measurement familiarity preferred)
- Covering job duties within the department (vacations and leaves)
- Basic clean up and material co-ordination
- Operation of forklift
- Various other duties as required
- Overtime as required

**Knowledge & Skills**

Must be willing to work in safety conscious environment

Must be motivated and have good communication skills

**Education**

A High School Diploma or GED equivalent is an asset

**Experience**

1 year of experience working within a manufacturing shop is preferred

Oilfield services experience is an asset

Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment

Accuracy and attention to detail with numbers are a must

Forklift experience is a definite asset
