Quality Control Technician

**Purpose**:
The primary function of the full-time Quality Control Technician role is to maintain and execute the Quality Control program in compliance with internal and external regulations and standards. The position is located at the Tantalus Labs “SunLab” production facility in Maple Ridge, BC. The role reports to and takes daily supervisory direction from the Quality Control Specialist.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Maintain and execute Tantalus Labs's risk-based production quality control practices
- Conduct and document daily production quality checks and advise the Quality Control Specialist and Operations leaders on production status
- Report deviations to the Quality Control Specialist and Operations leaders
- Work with Operations leaders to investigate deviation and quality event reports
- Help conduct and document quality checks on incoming cannabis and non-cannabis supplies to the production facility
- Carry out moisture content analyses, water activity analyses, and other testing required for batch processing and change control management
- Attend and/or conduct internal audits as assigned by your supervisor

**Qualifications**:

- Knowledge of regulations and guidelines governing a consumer packaged goods sector, e.g. Cannabis Regulations, NHP Regulations, Good Production Practices, HACCP
- Some experience in a Quality Control or related role, preferably in cannabis or other consumer packaged goods sector
- Keen attention to detail; organizational, administrative, and communication skills
- Familiarity with Google Docs, Google Sheets, and IOS environment

**Working Conditions**:

- Regular hours: M-F, 8 hours, starting at 7:30 am ending at 4:00 pm
- Hygienic attire to be worn during work hours in production, packaging, shipping, and storage areas as per the employee hygiene policy
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with Operations, Marketing, and IT.
