**Role Context**:
Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) and as part of the Executive Committee, the VP Marketing Intelligence & Sciences is responsible for leading the Business Intelligence and Product practice by leveraging local and global analytics, digital & research expertise as well as technology platforms to create data driven marketing solutions. In this role you will be responsible for the development and operationalization of all Precision Marketing activities including automated investment, Ad Technology, Data and Audience Science.

In this role you will lead an established Data Analytics team and provide guidance and vision to the practices as these continue to evolve and grow. You will also oversee our Performance client group, serving as an executive sponsor for these clients.
- As a member of the executive committee (Exco) work collaboratively with the team to meet WM Canada strategic goals
- Determine the Precision development roadmap and ongoing support required for the Canadian market
- Build a strong working relationship with a variety of different internal and external client teams to identify strategies and roadmaps for using data to drive business performance
- Responsible for developing relationships with senior clients, media partners and industry associations relating to Precision Marketing and Data & Analytics.
- Works closely with client planning leads to deliver data and audience driven communication plans from conception to deployment measurement and optimisation.
- High level of experience in the use of audience data and ad tech (e.g., DMPs, Google, DCO, ad servers, brand safety) to deliver audience-based marketing strategies.
- Lead a team of Data analysts who are focused on harmonizing data sources, standardizing automated reporting, creating informative data visualizations, and performing advanced analytics to solve business problems.
- Driving progress against the WM Precision Maturity Framework, a set of key indicators and scorecards for assessing data-driven marketing maturity and enabling a clear action plan
- Working with Wavemaker client leads on larger accounts, to ensure the right strategies capabilities and technology are in place on the account to advance precision marketing
- Working ‘upstream’ with audience scientists, strategists, investment specialists and planners to ensure outputs our planning model are translated into credible precision marketing approaches
- Working ‘downstream’ with search, social, SEO, programmatic and ecommerce practices (Platforms) as well as activation teams to ensure that an integrated precision marketing approach is implemented with rigor and innovation
- Working closely with investment, planning, strategy, account and platform leads to adopt Agile Workflow principles - visualizing and valuing work, whilst prioritizing tasks with the relevant stakeholders

**Required skills / experience**:

- Deep expertise of key biddable media channels; PPC, Programmatic and paid social.
- Skilled at building relationships with senior stakeholders to retain existing and acquire new business.
- High level of experience in the use of audience data and ad tech (e.g., DMPs, Google, DCO, ad servers, brand safety) to deliver audience-based marketing strategies.
- Proven experience at managing the teams responsible for the activation of digital platforms across programmatic, biddable and IO based media.
- A client-facing lead capable of inspiring and managing great work from GroupM activations specialists (Search, Programmatic, Social, SEO) and Wavemaker specialists (Ecommerce, Content, Tech)
- A detail-orientated champion for original, intelligent precision marketing work on every brief, who will work to get the best out of technology, data, audiences and activation
