Your adventure with Bruce County starts here. **About the Job** **Responsibilities** - Collaborate with the design team to ensure that websites are visually appealing and easy to navigate - Develop custom plugins and themes for WordPress and Drupal - Develop custom workflows, forms, and templates using Microsoft SharePoint - Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code - Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in web development - Gather requirements from stakeholders and clients to understand their needs and translate them into technical specifications - Skillfully manage stakeholder expectations and communicate project updates and timelines effectively - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of web projects - Code securely while following OWASP standards - Work with Microsoft DevOps and Agile methodologies - Script and program using.NET and Python **Requirements**: - College Diploma in Computer Science or a related field or relevant recent experience - At least 2 years of recent experience working with WordPress and Drupal - Experience working with or a strong desire for exposure to Microsoft AI/ML and Cognitive Services, including custom vision and language processing. - Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP - Understanding of web standards and best practices - AODA, WCAG, W3C - Experience with version control systems such as Git - Strong communication, requirement gathering, and stakeholder management skills - Familiarity with OWASP standards and secure coding practices - Experience with Microsoft DevOps and Agile methodologies is beneficial - Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint,.NET, and Python is beneficial - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team **Privacy** **Additional Information** The Corporation of the County of Bruce is an equal opportunity employer committed to barrier-free employment practices.
