Child Care Aide

Providing professional support to children with disabilities in the family home and in the community. Supporting the family and the child in working towards meeting annual goals for the child. Responsibilities include working on specific tasks, community outings and building rapport/relationships with the child. Positions are all casual hours and are a joint decision between the parent and the staff. Hours may increase temporarily during school closures and summer months.

Experience with youth with developmental disabilities, FASD and responding to behaviors of concern would be ideal. Knowledge of Aboriginal Culture would be an asset. Driver’s license and transportation are required.

We are looking for aides for children from the ages of 7 - 17 years old.

**Hours of Work**: casual 10 hours per week

**Wage**: $16.84 or $18.30 per hour.
