TANCO is on the lookout for a sharp, curious and driven Process Support Metallurgist to join our Mill Operations team. The Process Support Metallurgist will be responsible for daily metallurgical control of the Mill Department and implementation of circuit modifications both by plant investigations and lab testing to improve process efficiency and increase production.

**Principal Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the metallurgical accounting system, and generates daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly balances as required, in accordance with company requirements.
- Monitor plant performance, analyze operational/assay data, and set up systems that provide performance trends that can be used to identify areas and opportunities to improve plant performance.
- Provide metallurgical and processing operations guidance based on daily results to optimize plant operation.
- Optimize processing plants comprising of gravity and dense medium separation along with flotation of various minerals, including lithium, tantalum, micas, etc.,
- Conducts plant investigations and improvement projects to improve recovery, increase throughput and reduce cost as required.
- Optimize, maintain and upgrade the plant control systems as required.
- Seeks improvement opportunities with the key reagent and consumable suppliers.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree majoring in Metallurgical Engineering / Extractive Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience in the metallurgical processing plant.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of metallurgical principles.
- Good communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain or exceed best industry practice in all metallurgical tasks.
- Valid and current Drivers License.

**Computer Competency**:

- Computer literacy
- Microsoft Office, AutoCad
