Brightwater Senior Living, a stunning Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care community is seeking a creative and enthusiastic individual to serve as Health Service Specialist for our (Independent Living and Assisted Living residents/Memory Care residents).

This position is working with the Area Director and Central Office to collaborate on new healthcare processes and practices to support the evolving healthcare environment. The role will be a combination of inside and outside of the community with strategic planning, developing procedure, teach, mentoring, quality control reviews and implementation services for healthcare teams and the community health departments.

Work in collaboration with the Area Director to support and resolve issues that have a potential impact upon the health services teams and residents/families.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong Management Skills, including strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Meet state or provincial health related requirements.
- Demonstrate leadership ability with comprehensive knowledge of Nursing and health care practices and techniques.
- Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Maintain current CPR certification.
- Maintain current professional license (RN or LPN/LVN)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversight responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Ø Monitoring the status of each community within the assigned areas of need

Ø Work with Area Directors to assure adherence to community budget.

Ø Assure that each community has adequately trained, compensated, and motivated team members who can meet and exceed the community’s current and future expectations.

Ø Assure that each community has high quality programs which adhere to the Company standards in each of the following areas:

- Health Services,

Ø Assure compliance with all federal, state or provincial, and/or local regulations in the area.

Ø Perform staff duties necessary for immediate community operation in case of staffing problem.

Ø Assure Central Office is regularly informed of community status and particularly of any significant problems for which guidance is necessary.

Ø Assure positive relations between community and the community at large so they serve as resources for one another.

Ø Completing Quality Assurance Audits for each Community

Ø Assist with Training and Education of new HSD’s, RCM’s and Staff Educator

Ø Assist with hiring of Nursing Staff for the Communities

Ø Weekly Meetings with the Community HSD at each Community

Ø Be a support to the HSD’s of the Communities
- Assist Area Director in employee development and management responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Ø Stable staff of optimal quality and quantity by developing relationships with the community at large for recruitment.

Pay: $25.00 per hour
