**British Columbia Conservation Foundation’s** vision is for thriving fish and wildlife populations in British Columbia. **Responsibilities**:

- Mapping of invasive _Spartina_ spp. with the use of ESRI Software
- Identification of estuary vegetation (ID Training provided)
- Manual removal of Invasive _Spartina densiflora_ on Vancouver Island, the gulf islands, and seal islets
- Assistance with monitoring and research efforts on _Spartina_ spp. treatment
- Record keeping of daily activities and end of season reporting
- Leading volunteers and outreach to the general public

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience working or volunteering outdoors in all weather conditions
- Proven ability to work in a team environment with a high attention to detail
- Pursuing or holding a post-secondary degree or diploma in the natural sciences, ideally working towards a degree in natural resource conservation, habitat restoration, ecology, and/or invasive species management

**Skills**:

- Plant identification, especially native and invasive salt marsh species
- Data collection and management
- Experience working, volunteering, or recreating in challenging terrain

**Assets**:

- Previous coordination or leadership experience
- Experience in environmental or community outreach
- WorkSafeBC Basic first aid (formerly OFA Level 1)
- BC Driver’s License class 5
