All interested applicants are welcome to apply.Key AccountabilitiesReporting to and under the direction of the Senior Coordinator, Talent Acquisition, this position will assume a dedicated operational role in assisting with the establishment of a centralized Position Control function. This position will maintain staffing level controls within the various Ministry Category envelopes, in conjunction with the Boards Human Resources Information System and various related applications.Assist in the coordination and implementation of system controls to effectively maintain positions within SAPHR and related applications as they relate to approved staffing levelsEstablish procedures and approval processes based on appropriate guidelines and compliance with collective agreement articlesCoordinate and participate in staffing surplus placement meetings with other Human Resources Management staffProvide and update elementary staffing lists during the staffing surplus cycleParticipate in various Board committees that support the staffing position control functionsProvide assistance in the administration of various employee groups during staffing cycles, employee life cycleEnsure accurate reporting related to collective agreement provisions and adherence to relevant regulationsSupport the Human Resources management team on project related activities and departmental initiativesConduct analysis and prepare various management statistical and trend reports as requiredWork collaboratively with other Human Resources management staff on a daily basisLiaise daily with board management staff on position control related mattersPerform other duties as assigned or requiredRequirements A relevant degree from a recognized university in Human Resources or Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum four (4) years of human resources or related experience in a similar leadership and/or management capacity, ideally in a large unionized public sector employers, educational environmentWorking towards Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP/CHRL) designationExcellent written communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively as a member of a team to discuss issues, solicit and provide advice, share information and provide team-focused recommendations and solutionsUnderstand and maintain a high level of confidentialityExcellent computer skills including e-mail, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, HRIS, MS Office; SAP preferredWorking knowledge of various collective agreementsExcellent problem-solving, analytical, organizational and time management skills requiredThis is a non-union Level 8 position with a salary range of $94, 185 - $113,021 along with comprehensive benefits including pension plan, vacation, and professional development opportunities.Who We Are Our mission at TCDSB is to inspire learning in every way and support our students and employees.Employees who work in our corporate setting are passionate and have a strong belief in our mission and making TCDSB a leader in public education.
