Dual Property Sales & Marketing Manager

**Job Description.**
- The Sales & Marketing Manager reports to the General Manager and is responsible for executing sales strategies to maximize hotel profitability while maintaining customer satisfaction.

**Responsibilities**:.
- Achieving or exceeding hotel revenue budget.
- Developing and implementing effective sales strategies to maximize revenue generation.
- Prepare annual revenue budget, annual marketing plan and quarterly/monthly sales strategy reports.
- Direct and participate in the sales efforts of the hotel.
- Manage the social media intiatives and programs insuring they are current and sales focused
- Properly follow-up on leads and administer group and corporate contracts.
- Ability to negotiate rates with a client creating a win-win situation for both client and hotel.
- Communicate to other department’s other department’s entire special request you may have for guests.
- Attend trade shows, conventions and participate with local events and network at chamber events.
- Cultivate and source leads through cold calls, telemarketing, direct sales, and networking.
- Maintain rapport with competitor hotels, lead sources, clients, and the local community.
- Submit weekly sales report to General Manager and Vice President of Sales & Marketing.
- Work closely with General Manager and front desk on revenue management.
- Possess and utilize excellent time management skills.
- Successfully complete Access Edge Certification as required by the brand within 9-months of hire.

**Job Requirements.**
- Previous Marriott experience preferred
- Basic understanding of event management policies and execution
- Excellent communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organizational skills including follow-up, time management, ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Skills for problem-solving, analysis, effective decision-making, negotiation and interpretation of contracts
- Knowledge of hotel features, benefits, and competing hotels within the market
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $50,000.00 per year
