**NATURE OF THE WORK**:
The position includes, the performance of management duties pertaining to the activities required for the execution of work, plans and specifications, budget estimates, calls for tenders, contract follow-up, protection of immovables, energy management and use of premises, space, and equipment.

The position consists in providing, within the incumbent's field of competence, advice and expertise to the administrators of the school board so as to promote the optimal management of material resources.

This position is located at the head office in the Equipment Services Department.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Diploma of college studies in a relevant field of study
- 6 years of relevant experience

**REQUIRED SKILLS**:

- Technical and managerial skills
- Proven leadership experience
- In depth understanding of the management of equipment services
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work and learn autonomously

**GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE**:

- Collaborate with other staff members in the development and upkeeping of preventive and corrective maintenance plans.
- Supervise, upon request, the execution of work and monitor the budget.
- Ensure compliance with the regulations applicable to his or her sector of activity.
- Participate in defining rules and procedures concerning purchases, supplies, and inventory control.
- Collaborate with other staff members, upon request, in creating material resources management tools adapted to the needs of the institutions and other administrative units.
- Responsible for the CO2 dossier, troubleshooting the detectors, tracking software, and recommending and implementing changes as required.
- Oversee the lead in water dossier, keeping the registry updated, recommending and implementing changes as required.
- Responsible for the upkeeping of the asbestos registry, recommending and implementing changes as required.
- Responsible for the rentals division of equipment services.
- Responsible for the hiring process, the creation, and implementation of professional development for caretaking personnel.
- Participate in the staffing plan for caretaking and maintenance personnel.
- Supervise and evaluate the staff under his or her responsibility.
- Represent the school board or the administrative unit in matters related to their sector of activity when required.
- Assume and other responsibility compatible with their function that may be assigned to them by the immediate supervisor.

**SALARY RANGE AND WORKING CONDITIONS**:
This position is classified as level 5 with remuneration and working conditions as per the** Regulation Respecting the Conditions of Employment of Management Staff of School Boards
