**Project Superintendent **is based 1.5 hours north of Prince George with $2,000 monthly LOA, in addition to accommodation and travel provided.

As a **Project Superintendent **, you’ll play a key role to build an $18 million community centre located in McLeod Lake for a growing General Constractor with headquarters based out of Vancouver. They’ve been building British Columbia for over 25 years and have played a part in many major construction and development projects across the region, including the Metro Vancouver’s cityscape.

As a **Project Superintendent **, you will provide full oversight for projects and have responsibility for overall project performance including the schedule, quality, and status updates. The position involves working with engineers, sub-trades, management of technical teams and contracts costs of subcontractors, contractor negotiations.

**Your work will include**:

- Overseeing and managing the entire construction process. You will be responsible for project progress, scheduling, quality control, safety, and properly delegating duties and responsibilities to the project team and sub-contractors.
- Review relevant documents and drawings and identify discrepancies in the scope of work.
- Proactively working with the project team to avoid any potential problems and obstacles that may arise throughout the project and ensure the constant flow of the project.
- Completing daily site reports and POs and managing all site inspection meetings.
- Supervising activities of subcontractors and staff
- Coordinating sequence of work
- Coordinating subcontractors and site staff daily to prepare for days/weeks ahead
- Communicating with engineers during site reviews
- Reviewing work daily to ensure correct detailing and materials are being used
- Monitor expenditures effectively, review invoices, and manage labour and material costs according to the project budget and underlying estimate.
- Promote a safe and healthy work environment for all personnel on site, monitor safety performance, and oversee the Site HSE Coordinator.
- Resolve on-site issues and emergencies
- Prepare and maintain all schedules and ensure materials and workforce are aligned.
- Enforce all health and safety policies, procedures and protocols and coordinate with the site HSE Coordinator.

**It's the right fit if you have**:

- 5-10 years experience as a Superintendent with commercial / institutional projects
- Experience with cold climates and impact on concrete pours and construction constraints in cold weather
- Remote work experience is an asset, but not required
- Proven experience managing small to medium construction projects and associated stakeholders
