Job description

**SITECH Mid-Canada Ltd. **is seeking highly-driven **Field Service Technician** who is customer centric and enjoys working with the best in class industry experts. This person who we seek will work on the most advance construction technologies that Trimble Navigation has to offer.

The Field Service Technician’s role and daily tasks will include but are not limited to:
Safely installing, diagnosing, calibrating, and repairing Trimble and Caterpillar branded Machine Control and G.P.S Guidance systems as well as other high-technology based productivity products in our company portfolio.

**Key Qualifications**
- Two-year degree in electronics or similar technology-related field of study is desired.
- 5 + years of experience with mechanical, hydraulics and electrical systems on heavy construction equipment.
- Will consider mechanical and/or technical training, certifications and/or hands-on experience in lieu of formal degree.
- Strong technical / mechanical aptitude with the ability and desire to learn new technologies and become knowledgeable and proficient in working with machine control systems on construction machinery.
- Prior training on Trimble Construction products would be considered a tremendous asset.

**Expectations**:

- Significant travel in the Province of Ontario required.
- Ability to successfully complete factory-sponsored courses and programs internationally as well as online classes and tutorials, and other such educational opportunities to enhance technical knowledge and professional development.
- Must be driven to exceed customer expectations.
- Participate in and promote a confident workplace safety oriented environment and comply with all applicable federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations, and must comply with all company policies and procedures.

Must be Covid-19 fully vaccinated.

**Key Job Duties**:

- To provide superior service and technical support to SITECH Mid-Canada personnel and customers.
- Repair, service and support of 2D and 3D heavy construction machine control & guidance systems, paving systems, mobile GPS technologies, payload systems, backup safety cameras and imaging systems, all components and related software.
- Provide field installation, system troubleshooting, repairs, and training/support for customers in the field.
- Provide timely follow-up and resolution, and remain current on open projects to keep work backlog to a minimum.
- Manage required service and support-related information, forms, and paperwork as directed by management and/or in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
