**THE ORGANIZATION**

**THE ROLE**
- _Organizational Development:_ Creating the organization from the ground up, including assisting with the creation of an independent Board of Directors, expansion of bylaws, policy and procedure, mission statements and strategic vision.
- _Strategic Leadership: _Developing and implementing the organization's strategic plan, setting goals, and ensuring alignment with its mission.
- _Financial Management:_ Overseeing the budget, financial reporting, and fundraising activities, ensuring responsible use of resources.
- _Fundraising:_ Developing and implementing fundraising strategies, cultivating relationships with donors, and securing financial support.
- _Program Oversight:_ Ensuring the effective delivery of the organization's programs and services, monitoring their impact, and adjusting as needed.
- _Compliance:_ Ensuring the organization complies with all relevant laws and regulations.
- _Community Engagement:_ Building relationships with stakeholders, including the board, donors, beneficiaries, and the wider community.
- _Board Relations:_ Working closely with the board of directors, providing regular updates, and seeking their guidance.
- _Event planning:_ working to develop charitable events tied to fundraising, planning and running those events while expanding yearly on how to grow them in the public eye.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**
- Relevant education and training in areas of governance, finance, compliance, charity law and/or risk management are required.
- Strong financial acumen, and understanding financial statements, budgeting, and fundraising principles.
- Significant experience in fundraising, including executing fundraising strategies, cultivating donor relationships, and securing financial support.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, including identifying and resolving challenges, making sound decisions, and adapting to changing circumstances.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including donors, staff, and the public.
- Experience with social media, multimedia, graphic design, formal communications and marketing strategies.
- Demonstrated Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders, including board members, volunteers, and staff.
- Commitment to professionalism, ethical practices, confidentiality and exceptional integrity is required.
- Must be able to successfully undergo Enhanced Security Screening.

**COMPENSATION**
- $70,000-$85,000 per year base salary
- Additional bonus potential based on achieving fundraising goals
- 3 weeks’ vacation

- Regular daytime hours (M-F 8AM-4PM), with approved flexibility as needed
