Through our programs and facilities including the Maritime Muslim Academy and the Ummah Masjid and Community Centre we provide religious education, spiritual guidance, and community-centered services. Our preschool is a vital part of this mission, fostering a nurturing Islamic environment for young learners.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate the delivery of preschool programs and services, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and objectives.
- Administer policies, programs, and procedures to maintain compliance with licensing regulations and best practices in early childhood education.
- Manage the daily operations of the preschool, including facility maintenance, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Establish and oversee administrative procedures to achieve goals set by the board of directors or senior management.
- Train, supervise, and provide ongoing professional development opportunities for staff.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment for professional and non-professional staff.
- Plan, administer, and control budgets for programs, equipment, and support services.
- Monitor expenditures and ensure financial efficiency and accountability.
- Represent the preschool in government liaison and media relations to advocate for the needs of the program and community.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with parents, guardians, and community partners.
- Participate in policy development by preparing reports, briefs, and recommendations for management committees and working groups.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Services, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- ECE certification Level 3 (required)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in early childhood education management or a similar role ( required)
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
- Proven experience in budget management, program development, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with government programs and community resources related to early childhood education is an asset.
