Junior Buyer

Servocraft Limited (SCL), a Toronto based 40-year-old construction company, is seeking an entry-level "Junior Buyer". The position will support the acquisition process for equipment, material, and services required for a variety of electro-mechanical projects. The full-time position is in person and on location at our North York office. **Responsibilities**: To support the purchasing process of equipment and material through administrative tasks. These include but are not limited to: - Become familiarized with the project requirements, scope, schedule, and cost. - Review take-offs from estimation department and prepare requisition forms to obtain quotations. - Compare qualitatively and quantitatively the product and delivery schedules with vendor's commitment to meet scope, schedule, and cost parameters of the project. - Highlight any variances to meet the job schedule and cost requirements. - Report any discrepancies on purchase orders and/or invoices. **Experience**: - Entry-level knowledge in purchasing, procurement, and data entry - Familiar with Excel, Microsoft Suite, and Scheduling programs - Experience with electro-mechanical industrial parts would be an asset **Qualifications**: - 2 years of college or equivalent education or training (evidenced by certificates) - Resourceful in problem-solving, and detail-oriented, with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. - Must have satisfactory oral and written communication skills. *** **Remuneration**: Salary is negotiable based on experience and qualification starting from $21 per hour. **About Servocraft Limited**: Servocraft Limited is a 40 year old well-established, reputable, and dependable HVAC and Electrical Construction and Engineering firm serving the industrial, commercial, and institutional sector of the construction industry in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and surrounding areas.
