Job Title**:Shipper/Receiver**

Reports To: Distillery Foreman

Job Summary:

- Receive and inspect all incoming shipments, ensuring precise product counts against invoices and packing slips. Any discrepancies must be identified, documented, and resolved immediately.
- Verify outgoing shipments with extreme attention to detail, ensuring all products are accurately counted, packaged, labeled, and documented before transport.
- Coordinate deliveries with carriers, confirming that shipment quantities match orders and that all regulatory and logístical requirements are met.
- Maintain strict organization in shipping and receiving areas to prevent miscounts, misplaced inventory, or shipment errors.

Inventory Management
- Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Track and maintain stock levels of raw materials and finished products.
- Work with the Distillery Foreman to coordinate material orders and replenishment.
- Report any inventory shortages, damages, or quality concerns.

**Warehouse Operations & Logistics**
- Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, for loading and unloading shipments.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of materials in compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Optimize warehouse space for efficiency and ease of access.
- Assist in logistics planning, including scheduling and tracking shipments.

**Compliance & Safety**
- Adhere to all AGLC regulations regarding alcohol storage and transportation.
- Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Identify and report workplace hazards, compliance issues, or equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain accurate records for shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation.

**Collaboration & Process Improvement**
- Work closely with production, bottling, and management teams to align shipping and inventory needs.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in logistics and inventory management.
- Provide input on best practices for warehouse organization and shipping procedures.

**Qualifications and Requirements**
- Minimum Age: 18 years or older (due to industry regulations).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehousing, or logistics.
- Must have a Driver’s License in order to operate the Forklift and other equipment.
- Minimum of 1 year experience operating a Forklift and experience with Straddle Stacker is an asset.
- Strong understanding of inventory management and warehouse operations.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in inventory tracking and shipments.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Knowledge of AGLC regulations is an asset, but willingness to learn is a must.
- Possesses Forklift Certification or willingness to obtain.
- Experience using inventory management systems (an asset).
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Work Conditions:

- Warehouse and production environment with fluctuating temperatures.
- Physically demanding role, requiring standing, lifting, and repetitive movements.
- Monday to Friday schedule, with some flexibility as needed.
