**Bookkeeper / Tax Preparer**

We are a boutique, full-cycle accounting firm located in NW Calgary, known for our dedicated services approach and personalized approach. Our clients include personal tax clients, sole proprietors, and small to mid-sized corporations.

We support businesses at every stage — from start-up to wind-down — offering full-service bookkeeping, tax preparation, and business advisory services. We are looking for someone who shares our values of integrity, professionalism, and client-centered service.

**About the Role**

In this client-facing position, you’ll work closely with business owners, manage deadlines, and provide a high level of detail and service.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Monthly, quarterly, and annual bookkeeping for a variety of clients
- File GST/HST, payroll, and other government remittances
- Prepare personal tax returns, including for sole proprietorships (T1s)
- Communicate with the CRA, directors, and client stakeholders
- Support and train team members when needed
- Maintain accurate records and follow up on client needs

**About You**
- **1-3 years** of Canadian bookkeeping and personal tax experience (Alberta preferred)
- Proficient in **QuickBooks Online, Intuit ProFile, and Sage 50**:

- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Highly organized, task-driven, and able to manage multiple files
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working independently and in a collaborative team environment
- Confident, professional, and client-service focused

**Job Details**
- **Job Type**: Full-time
- **Hours**: 30-37 hours/week (Mon-Fri, with occasional seasonal weekend availability)
- **Location**: On-site in NW Calgary
- **Compensation**: $25.00-$32.00/hour (based on experience)

- **Education**: Post-secondary in accounting, finance, or a related field
- **Experience**:

- QuickBooks Online Certified (2 years - required)
- Sage 50 (2 years - required)
- Personal tax prep (2-3 years, including sole proprietorships - required)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37 per week
