**About the Transport Driver**:
We are looking to recruit Tractor Trailer Drivers for our team in Edmonton. We are looking for drivers who are enthusiastic, hardworking and motivated to maximize efficiency. Our drivers must be dedicated to customer service and safety operating procedures.
**Key Responsibilities and Duties**:
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customer while consistently providing customers with professional and outstanding service.
- Inspect the load Pre/Post Trip.
- Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that the orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied.
- Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
- Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.
- Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
- Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries.
**Qualifications and Competencies**:
- Valid class 1 driver’s license and a Criminal Records Check (Vulnerable Sector Check).
- 5-year Clean Commercial Drivers Abstract is required.
- Winch and mountain experience preferred.
- Must have minimum 5 years of applicable experience, 7 years of general industry experience along with heavy equipment.
- Pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Test Required.
- **Must be able to work various shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.**:
- Must be available to work for evening and weekend on-call rotation.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally while consistently providing co-workers and our customers with professional and outstanding service.
- Performing light maintenance on various vehicles.
**Working Conditions**:
- Must be able to work various shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
- Regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to manipulate, handle or feel; reach with hands or arms; also required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Occasionally required to lift up to 90 pounds.
- Must be able to work in inclement weather.
ALL CANDIDATES MUST PROVIDE A 5-YEAR COMMERCIAL DRIVING ABSTRACT AND COMPLETE A DRIVER PROFILE FOR INSURANCE PURPOSES; APPLICANTS MUST NOT HAVE ANY MORE THAN TWO MINOR CONVICTIONS WITHIN A 3 YEAR PERIOD.
SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL BE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE A POLICE CLEARANCE WITH VULNERABLE SECTOR CHECK COMPLETED.
