**Position Summary**

A Clerk in the CHaH/AHF program is responsible for performing clerical duties under the general supervision of the Program Manager, and/or designate. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the general reception
- including answering phones, registering patients, completing administrative activities like calculating care hours and mileage. The Clerk will perform other duties as assigned by the program manager or designate.

**Qualifications**

Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma or equivalent required.
- Successful completion of a Medical Terminology Course required.
- Cerner training complete or willing to complete.
- Demonstrated high computer literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs

(Excel, Word, Scheduling System) required
- Demonstrated keyboarding skills minimum 50 words per minutes.
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal) and

interpersonal skills to interact with a range of individuals in a variety of situations, which
require tact, discretion and confidentiality across the care continuum.
- Demonstrated ability to be highly motivated and flexible with the ability to adapt quickly to

new situations/challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize workload and multitask under pressure, and

to work both independently and as a productive team member.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and demonstrates through performance, an acceptable

level of ethical conduct and a thorough understanding of discretion and confidentiality.
- Satisfactory work performance and attendance record required
