**We are currently looking for Part Time Mad Scientists who love the rewarding work of working with children.** Do you have a passion for working with children? Do you want to work for a fun company that strives to spark the imagination and curiosity of children? Do you have experience instructing and/or performing in front of a large group of children? We are looking to expand our team of Mad Scientists to inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers with our In-School Workshops and award-winning and "edu-taining" Birthday Parties. **CANDIDATES MUST**: 1. have experience working with children in an in-person instructional role. 2. have a reliable vehicle*. This requirement is NOT optional. All positions require driving to different site locations and transporting equipment that will be needed. 3. be dependable, responsible, reliable and punctual. 4. have a strong work ethic, being able to organize and prioritize responsibilities while working as a team. 5. be able to problem solve independently. 6. have good presentation skills and understand both crowd management and crowd control. 7. be respectful, encouraging, fun and outgoing with children. 8. be able to have friendly, respectful and informative communication with parents and/or clients (ie. parents, school staff, daycare staff, library staff, corporate staff). 10. be able to provide references. 11. have availability during the week to teach in-school workshops some time between the hours of 8:30AM - 4:30PM. (Availability does have some flexibility). 12. have availability during the weekends to conduct parties some time between the hours of 11AM - 5PM. (Availability does have some flexibility). **Responsibilities** - Driving to each event and punctual arrival. - Engaging and entertaining children age 3 - 12 using inquisitive, interactive and hands-on experiments. - Utilize strong communication skills with both children and teachers/parents, ensuring a positive whole and overall experience. - Adapt performance and/or teaching methods to suit diverse audiences, fostering an inclusive atmosphere. - Taking payment from customers. - Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of time worked. - Safeguarding equipment that is your possession from damage. **Job Type**: Part-time Pay: From $30.00 per hour Additional pay: - Tips **Benefits**: - Casual dress - Flexible schedule Schedule: - Day shift - Weekends as needed Application question(s): - When are you available to start? - Are you looking for temporary work (less than 1 year) or long term work?
