Our work environment includes: - On-the-job training - Company perks - Relaxed atmosphere - Safe work environment Our organization is seeking a Fuel Shop Technician to provide superior customer service during the process of diagnosing, estimating, repairing/overhauling and testing customer components that come in for repair and rebuild. We're looking for a mechanically inclined individual who is detail-orientedand able to priortize. **Responsibilities**: - Receive and review work order for the component. Advise Service Writer of issues found that maybe in the best interest of the Customer. - Create an estimate or proceeds with job as instructed - Disassemble and inspect component and evaluate using best practices. - Reassemble/rebuild components in accordance with OEM standards or best practices. - Create a narrative and records all services completed for the job/inspection in work order. - Research, indenify and evaluate parts for job. - Repair fuel system components. - Clean and buff parts. - Overhaul Turbochargers. - Basic computer skills are required, we use a "paperless" work order system, these skills are essential to the daily routine. - Perform cleaning and equipment maintenance in the Fuel Shop. **Qualifications**: - Completion of Trade or Technical School or equivalent directly related work experience, 3 - 5 years of experience preferred, but maybe willing to train someone with mechanical aptitude and experience with diesel fuel systems. - Ability to read and write correspondence including information that is related to repairs, materials, estimates and contacts. Ability to communicate in order to troubleshoot. Willingness to gain and improve language skills would be an asset. **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Salary**: $22.00-$25.00 per hour **Benefits**: - Company events - Company pension - Dental care - Extended health care - Vision care Flexible Language Requirement: - French not required Schedule: - Day shift - Monday to Friday - No weekends Ability to commute/relocate: - Winnipeg, MB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) **Experience**: - mechanical: 3 years (preferred) **Language**: - English (preferred) Work Location: In person
