**POSITION**:RECE EDP Educator - 5 hours per day (academic days)
- Split Shift & 8 hour Full day shift (SUMMER/PD days & March Break)

**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
As an educator you will be responsible for providing a nurturing, developmentally appropriate and enriching environment for kinder & school age children within a group setting. As part of a team, you will share in the coordinating and implementing of emergent and child-led curriculum, work with parents and coworkers in a cooperative manner, and function as a member of the daycare cooperative. **REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Registered Early Childhood Educator - Preferred
- A valid Standard First Aid certificate with Infant and Child CPR (level C)
- Police Reference Check for working with the vulnerable sector completed within the last 6 months
- Sensitivity and respect of individual and cultural differences
- Proven ability to work as a team player
- Positive and strong communication skills
- An educator who understands, embraces, and applies the foundations of ‘How Does Learning Happen”
- School age or Kinder experience and cooperative experience are an asset.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position

**WORKING CONDITIONS**:

- Must be able to work outside in all types of weather
- Must be able to lift weights up to 40 pounds and stand/sit for long periods of time
- Must be able to make decisions in emergency situations
- As part of a team, you will share in the management, coordinating and implementing of the program, ensuring it meets the requirement of CCEYA, OPH, GPDC policies, and RECE best practices

**HOURS**:Monday - Friday 5 hour split shifts per day (regular school days) - 7:30-9:00 & 2:30-6:00; 8 Hour shifts PD days, March Break and Summer Break.

**WAGES AND BENEFITS**:$23.93 per hour plus $2.00 wage grant and benefits (pending funding).
