Toronto, Canada Junction Pet Clinic Full time

Junction Pet Clinic is a new growing veterinary hospital in the welcoming and exciting Junction neighbourhood of Toronto We are looking for a full-time Animal Care Attendant to join out team in July 2025. The clinic currently has one veterinarian and experienced, helpful staff with a love for animals and a common goal of excellent service. We are excited to add to our team of passionate, dedicated people that will feel like family

The primary role of animal care staff will be to assist in handling of patients with care and respect in order to assist the veterinarian and technicians as well as keeping the hospital clean and orderly.

We will be open Monday to Friday.

Duties may include:
Handling and restraint of patients for physical exams, procedures, and sample collection

Assisting clients with their needs in a warm and friendly manner

Minor procedures such as nail trims, bathing, clipping

Keeping the hospital clean and stocked in compliance with veterinary standards of care. Cleaning cages/litter boxes/stool and feeding patients.

Monitoring patients in hospital and alerting technicians or veterinary staff to the needs of the patient

Stocking inventory such as food and medications.

Assisting with patient monitoring in surgery and anesthesia and setting up for daily procedures

Cleaning and sterilizing equipment

Qualifications:
Veterinary assistant experience or education is preferred

A friendly, upbeat attitude, a love and respect for animals, and ability to work with a team

Experience in fear free techniques is an asset but not required.

A willingness to learn and enjoy your work is the main goal

Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
