**Superintendent, Maintenance**:
**Your Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Maintenance & Reliability, the Maintenance Superintendent works collaboratively with maintenance and operations. The Maintenance Superintendent is responsible for leading maintenance execution for all mechanical areas from wellfield to loadout. The Maintenance Superintendent is an integral part of the leadership team and influences the development strategy of the maintenance teams and activities. There is a strong focus on continuous improvement and to proactively lead the mechanical execution teams. This position is also responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient execution of maintenance activities and ensuring that the repair, maintenance, and modification services for all of the operation components are effective and productive. The Maintenance Superintendent also owns and operates some specific non-process areas and equipment such as the main workshop, tool crib, and Cavern 1 Pumphouse. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Leadership & People Management
- Host regular check ins with direct reports, encourage professional development for employees through the regular performance review cycle. Collect feedback from indirect reports and peers to provide valuable and constructive mid-year and year-end performance reviews
- Recognize and reward behaviors that build an environment of high ownership and engagement
- Demonstrate courage by taking action, communicating change and dealing with obstacles. Communicate information effectively to ensure consistency, understanding and clarity
- Demonstrate integrity and ethics in handling personnel issues and provide empathetic support to team members as personal needs require. Create a balance between business and personal needs by ensuring a relationship of mutual trust and respect with employees
- Create connections of all employees to the department vision and site goals by providing strategic objectives that reports can build their personal goals from
- Grow and develop technical behavior competencies to increase team knowledge, capability and performance. Encourage professional development by submitting training budgets to KSPC Learning and Development team as required, and support attendance of training by assisting with AAT form submittals and travel request forms. Ensure team members use their allotted training budget
- Provide mentorship to maintenance supervisors and support through to maintenance teams
- Ensure that all Maintenance Supervisors work together to perform maintenance work and support production
- Develop Maintenance Training and a trades Development Program in conjunction with the Learning and Development team
- Monitor the performance (utilizing appropriate KPIs) of those doing the work, and take action to improve the capability of the team to meet future needs
- Understand and monitor administrative processes within Workday, ADP, InTime, SAP UWL, and Sphera for corrective action and MoC backlog. Ensure compliance to procedures and guidelines
Safety, Health & Environment
- Ensures that all direct and indirect employees attend a safety meeting every month and that action items that arise from these discussions are resolved on a timely basis
- Sets a high personal safety standard for him/herself, his/her reports and fellow colleagues
- Ensures all safety and regulatory controls are maintained to at least the intended as-designed capability
- Participate in incident investigations and corrective actions
- Support supervisors and coordinators with information sharing, processes and tools to ensure safe work execution
- Identify training opportunities and core certifications required for trades and supervisors
- Field tours and safety checks of trade and contractor work areas periodically
Continuous Improvement of Execution Processes
- Facilitate team analysis of completed tasks to ensure any potential improvements in all aspects are documented and carried forward for future implementations. Build failure into the learning and growth process
