**Job Overview**

**Kitchen Duties**
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks according to the daycare menu and Ministry of Education requirements.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including dishes, appliances, and storage areas.
- Keep track of food inventory and inform the supervisor when supplies need to be replenished.
- Be fully aware of all **children’s allergies and dietary restrictions**, ensuring safe food handling and preparation.
- Label all meals and snacks clearly and correctly.

**Classroom Support (Floater Role)**
- Assist educators in classrooms during busy periods, staff absences, or when additional support is needed.
- Supervise and engage with children, maintaining a safe and caring environment.
- Help with routines such as diapering, handwashing, transitions, and nap time.
- Support classroom educators with light housekeeping duties (e.g., sanitizing tables, sweeping floors, restocking supplies).
- Step in as **ratio staff** when required to meet licensing standards.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in food preparation (preferably in a childcare or similar setting).
- Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices (Food Handler Certificate required).
- Familiarity with children’s allergies, special diets, and nutrition guidelines.
- Flexibility to assist in classrooms as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform light cleaning tasks.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Pay: $17.20-$22.20 per hour
