Shipper/Receiver Paris, ON | Full Time

**POSITION SCOPE**

Reporting directly to the Production Manager, the Shipper/Receiver works effectively and efficiently to assist with internal material movement, receiving and shipping. An important aspect of this role is the proper and detailed completion of material movement and documentation.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
- Accurately receives and records inventory
- Safely and effectively uses organization systems, warehouse technology and established procedures to put stock away and maintain chain of custody documentation in accordance with Health Canada requirements
- Timely staging of production material requirements
- Accurately executes picking and shipping orders as required
- Pick and ship medical orders as required
- Maintain organized shipping and receiving records.
- Actively seeks improvement opportunities to increase warehouse efficiency also support and initiate Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives
- Develops knowledge about regulations and practices
- Works well cross-functionally with both onsite and remote internal customers
- Support and initiate Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives
- Other duties as assigned

**ROLE REQUIREMENTS/ABILITIES**

**Experience / Education**
- 2-3 years of experience in a warehouse environment
- 2-3 years of experience in a shipping/receiving role
- 2-3 years of experience operating a forklift
- Knowledge/Experience of Cannabis, Food or Pharmaceutical Industry is an asset

**Skills & Abilities**
- Strong written & verbal communication skills with ability to comprehend detailed instructions
- Strong Mathematical skills (ability to process mental math)
- Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively across all work groups
- Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to work individually as well as part of a team with little supervision
- Demonstrated time management skills
- Self motivated, highly organized, and strong record-keeping skills
- Demonstrates Computer Skills (Google Suite, Ample)
- High attention to detail
- Flexible to work off shift hours
- Ability to obtain forklift license

**Physical Demands**
- A mixture of sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time
- Must be able to safely lift up to 50lbs repeatedly
- Safe operation of a forklift
- Must be able to wear/use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time (i.e. gloves, lab coat, hair/beard net, safety shoes, face mask)
- Must be able to work in an enclosed and secure work area

**Working Environment**
- Exposure to the smell of cannabis
- Indoors and outdoors
- Warehouse setting
- Working in a fast-paced, busy environment with frequent interruptions
- Understand and follow all required Standard Operating Procedures
- Skill in assessing situations and implementing decisions in a professional, timely, regular manner
- Use of required personal protective equipment
- Flexible hours including weekends and holidays, as needed
