Marid Industries Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Yard Labourer to join our team This is an exciting full-time opportunity for an individual to join our growing team. As part of the Marid team you will work alongside our production team to ensure we meet project deadlines and deliver exceptional client service.
This position is primarily responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient organization of steel structures coming into the shop or leaving the shop. Other responsibilities include proper housekeeping and handling various products throughout the yard. The challenge of this position is the job can be physically strenuous, involving heavy lifting, prolonged standing, bending and working in various weather conditions.

What you'll do

**Responsibilities**:
Organizes steel to be put into shop for processing by the CNC or Saw operator.
Handles raw materials, finished products and scrap materials throughout the yard manually, or by using powered equipment such as forklift or crane.
Prioritizes steel as per jobs identified from pull sheet from operator or foreman and cuts decking as instructed by SSR/cut list.
Ensures incoming material matches slips and that packing slips are signed off.
Ensures area is marked on slip where material is stored and placed in designated areas.
Ensures shorts returning to stock are to be marked with type, length, and heat number where required, as well as location where they are going.
Ensure all material is color coded as per wall chart.
Visually monitors inventory levels of steel for Production Manager.
Good housekeeping
- maintains a clean and orderly yard.
Administers and completes necessary paperwork pertaining to job position, such as cut lists, SSR's, packing slips and bill of ladings.
What you'll need

**Qualifications**:
Grade 12 Highschool education or equivalent.
Two (2) years previous experience in a related industry position.
Valid NS Drivers License
Forklift, Overhead Crane, Crane Bobcat training and or certification, WHIMIS, First Aid, and any other related safety training is considered an asset.
