**Automotive Refinisher - CARSTAR Owen Sound (Opening Soon)**

**Job Type**: Full-time, Permanent
**Location**: Owen Sound, ON

CARSTAR Owen Sound is opening soon and we are looking for an experienced and motivated **Automotive Refinisher** to join our collision repair team.

As an Automotive Refinisher, you will be responsible for preparing and refinishing vehicles to OEM and CARSTAR quality standards. You will play an essential role in our production workflow, ensuring that all repaired vehicles leave the shop with a flawless finish.

**Responsibilities**

**Refinish Preparation & Application**
- Perform prep work including sanding, masking, priming, and surface preparation
- Mix, match, and blend paint to achieve accurate colour matches
- Spray vehicles and parts in the paint booth following OEM procedures
- Ensure all refinishing meets CARSTAR quality standards

**Production Workflow**
- Review repair estimates to ensure refinish work aligns with required operations
- Communicate discrepancies or additional needs to the manager or estimator
- Participate in daily production meetings
- Assist with reassembly when needed
- Maintain high productivity while upholding safety and quality

**Quality & Safety**
- Inspect all refinished work to ensure proper colour, texture, and finish
- Maintain clean, organized prep and booth areas
- Follow all PPE, equipment, and safety protocols
- Monitor refinishing materials and notify management when supplies need restocking

**Qualifications**
- **Minimum 2 years of automotive refinishing experience in a collision repair environment (required)**:

- Strong knowledge of colour matching, blending, and modern refinish techniques
- Experience with BASF/RM or similar paint systems (asset)
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Strong communication skills and a positive team attitude
- Organized, efficient, and able to manage multiple jobs in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s licence (required)

Pay: $60,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
