**SUMMARY**:Under the direction of the Public Works Supervisor, the Maintenance Worker 2 is responsible for assisting with the construction and maintenance of streets, utilities, facilities and infrastructure of the Town of Pincher Creek.

**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES**

1. Provide excellent customer service
- Take ownership and work to troubleshoot issues
- Ensure proper mode of dress and behaviour at all times while representing the Town of Pincher Creek

2. Assist Coordinators with
- Work closely with and take direction from Operations’ Coordinators as required
- Construction and repair of utilities, streets and facilities for the Town
- Collection and disposal of refuse for residential, commercial and municipal producers
- Maintenance of cemeteries as required
- Street cleaning, snow removal and maintenance
- Emergent or unforeseen issues

3. Health & Safety
- Understand and practice all safe work practices
- Use appropriate safety equipment and PPE when performing your duties
- Ensure a safe work environment
- Have knowledge of the Town Safety Program
- Attend Town Safety Meetings

4. Licensing
- Maintain all required qualifications for the position of Maintenance Worker 2
- Maintain a valid Class 3 Driver’s license with Q endorsement

5. Equipment
- Operate and maintain all types of machinery and vehicles owned by the Town of Pincher Creek

6. Respond to work call out and overtime work requirements when necessary

7. Attend meetings as required

8. Communicate with and support other areas of the Corporation

9. Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Over 18 years of age
- Class 3 Driver’s License
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Maintenance Worker 2 certification
- Must be able to provide a criminal record check
- Clean Driver’s Abstract
- Community/customer service minded
- Strong attention to health, safety, and wellness
- Heavy equipment experience - loaders, tandem trucks, snowplow, garbage truck, skid steer

**ASSETS**
- Professional demeanor under pressure and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with technical teams
- Experience in municipal environment an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $29.64 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
