The Robin Hood Association is a non-profit organization, that helps people with disabilities to “Live, Work and Play”. It is now one of the largest non-profit organizations in Alberta. The **Community Disability Practitioner** provides direct support, guidance, and coordination of services for individuals in the Employment program.

**8:00a.m. - 3:30p.m. Monday - Friday**

**Responsibilities**:

- Knowledge and experience with writing and implementation of teaching plans, ISPs, positive procedures and restrictive procedures.
- Development and coordination of client 24 hour plan
- Maintain open, timely & appropriate communication with families/guardians, staff and the community
- Provide on-going updates to Program Team Leader
- Ensure appropriate staff coverage
- Participate in hiring process and orientations
- Facilitate meetings including team building
- Monitor medication procedures
- Provide direction/teaching and mentorship
- Conflict resolution
- Ensure the overall development of adult services, support network in the unit
- Administrative responsibilities relating to functional operation within the homes

**Qualifications**:

- Disabilities Studies diploma or related diploma/degree
- Leadership skills - ability to inspire, motivate, and develop teamwork
- Familiar with natural supports and community inclusion
- Ability to deal with multi-faceted situations
- Creativity - ability to “think outside the box” and find individualized ways to offer supports
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Valid Driver’s license and access to personal vehicle

**Salary**: $20.40-$24.29 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
