York Region Utility Services Ltd is looking for a Field Service Technician

The position is based in Uxbridge and normal working hours are Mon
- Fri 7:00am
- 4:00pm but hours may vary based on workload and seasonal requirements.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Visual Electrical distribution system inspections ( Underground and Overhead)
- Install, test, and commission electrical meters
- Work alongside underground cable journeymen as required
- Complete regular maintenance and meter inventory
- Ensure safe work procedures are followed at all times
- General labour and other duties as assigned

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Electrical distribution inspection and metering experience and/or other relevant work experience considered an asset, but willing to train the right individual (applicant must be willing to complete any applicable training courses once hired)
- Highly motivated with continued focus on updating skills and knowledge
- Competent with standard electrician tools
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills with both coworkers and members of the public
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional approach
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as a member of a team
- Demonstrated time management skills
- Knowledge of and experience with computer software such as Microsoft Office
- First Aid & CPR certificates and knowledge of ESA, EUSR and the Occupational Health & Safety Act are considered an asset
- A valid Class ‘G’ Ontario Driver’s License, driver’s insurance, and an excellent driving record (Drivers Abstract required prior to hiring)
- Criminal Record Check required prior to hiring due to nature of this position

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
