**Role Description**

As a Lead QA Tester, you will direct the day to day technical activities for QA testers on your team, including daily standup meetings, and will be tasked with ensuring that the QA team has the inputs and equipment to complete their work. You will also work with the QA team on requirements definition for test plan development, and execution of acceptance and regression testing of new and existing IoT products. Finally, you will also be responsible for the administration of QA systems like Jira / Zephyr, and QA equipment like test harnesses, fixtures and devices.

**What You’ll be Doing**
- Administering day to day QA activities, e.g. standup meetings with the QA team.
- Administering QA systems like Jira / Zephyr, as well as QA equipment inventory.
- Onboarding, training and mentoring the QA testers on your team.
- Working with Project Managers to develop QA effort estimates for customer projects.
- Developing detailed test plan documentation based on project requirements and specifications.
- Contributing to the development of automated test platforms.
- Working with existing test platforms and systems.
- Executing test plans.
- Logging and describing issues discovered during testing.
- Working with developers to resolve issues discovered during testing.
- Working with contractors and third-party test houses to resolve issues encountered during regulatory testing activities.
- Interacting with clients to resolve issues encountered when qualifying third-party products.

**Skills and Experience**
- Minimum 4 years of QA experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent
- Development experience in two or more of the following: C, C#, Java, Python, and MySQL
- Experience with gathering requirements, writing specifications and test plans
- Experience with bug tracking and test management systems
- (Asset) Experience with Embedded firmware in C
- (Asset) Experience with Linux systems
