Sales and Marketing Coordinator

**Position Summary**:
RED Mountain Resort in Rossland, BC is looking for an energetic, driven, and outgoing individual to take the role of RED’s seasonal full-time Sales and Marketing Coordinator You would report directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing, and this position would be split between a variety of integral Marketing and Sales tasks.

On the Marketing side, you would manage and lead RED’s famous Snow Host program, a group of passionate volunteers that show guests the mountain the best way possible. You’d be involved in a range of other duties such as planning and hosting our ever-growing media visits, providing assistance in copywriting, brainstorming promotional concepts and mini campaigns, coordinating print assets, proof reading, making sure 3rd party websites and RED websites are updated with correct info, and more.

From the sales side, you’d be the main liaison for our group ski trip program, which involves a range of duties such as assisting in the coordination of rates, quotes, and dates with our Lodging Director, organizing Group visit requests within the RED departments, and being the main point of contact and host for the Group arrival to make sure they have the best experience imaginable

This position would be located at the RED Sales & Marketing Offices in the first floor of the RED base lodge.

**Essential Duties**:
**Snow Host Supervisor & Coordination**
- Manage monthly schedules for RED’s snow host program
- Interview, hire, and train snow host team
- Oversee the daily operations of the snow host program
- Ensure safety and team dynamic
- Coordinate snow hosts with special requests and media visits

**Media**
- Assist with planning and hosting media tour visits
- Working with the RED and community partners to host media (recommendations, outreach for activities, dining, etc)
- Making sure everything is ready for their pre arrival

**Marketing**
- Assist in brainstorming and executing on promotional concepts, mini campaigns, and the like throughout the season.
- Making sure 3rd party partner websites (Wholesalers, etc.) all have up-to-date RED information regarding lodging, trail maps, stats, etc.
- Working with our Brand & Web Manager to make sure RED websites stay up-to-date
- Assist in researching improvements to promotional collateral and websites based on industry trends
- Coordinate print jobs with 3rd party printer and in-house printing when needed

**Group Visits**
- Work with Group leaders and wholesalers in planning their group trips to RED
- Coordination of food and beverage experiences both on and off resort
- Coordination of après activities and transport
- Hosting the group during their stay at RED, F&B, activities, etc.
- Working with RED’s Food & Beverage department to establish the Groups menu
- Liaise with various departments (Lodging, F&B, Rental Shop, Ski School, etc.) and book any necessary facilities to ensure all Groups’ experiences exceed expectations
- Organise and Host Group Orientation Welcome Receptions
- Updates of Group Arrival Documents to distribute to RED departments internally
- Following up w/ group leader post-trip and create timely post-trip reports.

**Group Sales**
- Assist the Director of Sales and Marketing in coordinating outreach with Wholesalers and Ski Groups for next season’s ticket, lodging, rental, and lesson rates.
- Build relationships with Wholesalers and Group Leaders and assist with questions regarding rates, trip dates, etc. with the assistance of RED’s Lodging Director
- Building and planning of collateral for group pitches, presentations, etc.
- Attend occasional conferences (like Mountain Travel Symposium) to meet with Wholesalers and Group Leaders for face-to-face relationship building and trip planning

**Other**
- Assisting events team as needed with tear down, set up and running of events
- Assist with answering guest services phones on busy days as well as other basic needs.
- Assist the Marketing & Events Manager when needed for other various tasks

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Be available to work on all weekends and holidays during the season (a must)
- Have excellent organizational skills
- Have excellent interpersonal skills, be a team player and have a positive attitude
- Be comfortable working in a high-paced work environment
- Be proficient with Word, Excel and Google Suite (Gmail, Drive, Calendar)
- Have a minimum of 2-3 years of previous Sales, Customer Service and/or Volunteer Coordination experience
- Have excellent knowledge of RED and the community of Rossland (an asset)
- Is an avid skier or snowboarder
