At Jungle Room we expect our shift leader to provide an elevated level of leadership and understanding of the business. As a shift leader it is your responsibility to set the standard and atmosphere for each shift. To ensure that our customers receive good service it’s the shift leader’s duty to oversee daily operations ensuring employee productivity and creating a positive work environment for employees.

To be successful as a shift leader at our restaurant, you should be able to manage a team of people and ensure that all duties are performed accurately. Ultimately, the shift Leader at Jungle Room will hold themselves accountable but also their team accountable to a high level of knowledge and execution to ensure good service and help us meet our company goals.

Through shift leading at Jungle Room there is an opportunity for long term growth within the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Ensuring the basics of opening and closing duties are being met and setting the mood/tone for the shift. (Unarming the alarm/arming the alarm, unlock/lock door, lights on/off, music on/off)
- Supervising employees by assisting the team to accurately perform their job requirements at a high level and answering any questions or concerns they may have.
- Handling any issues that arise during shift, reporting to upper management in an efficient matter.
- Managing employee requests and transgressions and ensuring compliance with company policies and health and safety standards.
- Creating a fun environment for both guests and employees through conversation and tentative check ins.
- Performing any cash out duties necessary, handling the register and accounting for each server and bartender cash outs.
- Ensuring employees are showing up on time (clocking in and out, managing breaks etc.)
- Willingness to meet for any leader/management meetings.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

**Salary**: $17.00 per hour
